What is the Porterbrook Network?
The Porterbrook Network is a developing initiative aimed at contributing to a wider church planting movement by equipping individuals and churches to rediscover mission as their DNA through training, resourcing and consultancy.
Why is it all about mission?
- Because mission is about God transforming lives and bringing them under the kingship of Jesus
- Because mission is the task to which God has both called and equipped his people
- Because mission starts in our hearts and does not end until it reaches the ends of the earth
How do we train for mission?
Porterbrook Training Sheffield
Porterbrook Training Sheffield is delivered through a one day-a-week taught course with one residential a year. It offers training for church planting and missional church.
Porterbrook Northern Training Institute
Northern Training Institute is about to enter its third year and offers training for church leadership. It is aimed at church planters and those wanting affordable theological training while remaining in ministry.
Porterbrook Distance Learning
Porterbrook Distance Learning is due to be launched in September 2008 and will be delivered through distance learning with workbooks, digital content, e-learning and four residentials a year.
Porterbrook Consulting
Porterbrook Consulting offers advice, assessment and mentoring for individuals and churches wanting to plant or transition to missional church.
